5 Photos from 5 Days in Poland

#1 Old Town Market Square in Warsaw. This was taken less than an hour after arriving in Poland, it had just started snowing and the city was looking at its picturesque best

#2 Green Gate, one of the entry points into Gdansk Old Town. I was truly encapsulated by the beauty of the facades along the street, made more remarkable by the fact that 90% of the city was destroyed in the 1940’s

#3 The Palace of Culture and Science, originally commissioned by Stalin as a ‘gift from the soviet people’, this building has been dubbed an ‘elephant in lacy underwear’

#4 Pod Barbakanem is a Soviet Era Milk Bar where you can buy traditional foods for incredibly cheap prices

#5 The Neon Muzeum is situated in the trendy Praga District of Warsaw, which, in a gated neighbourhood is full of newly built high-rise apartment blocks
